Natural Earth 1:50m, version 4.1.0 (world-atlas 2.0.2), public domain. These are historical de facto boundaries, not a current official boundary statement. Missing small territories remain selectable and are labelled. Africa aggregates available African territory geometry using M49 assignment, including Somaliland; official totals may differ.
Map units² at 640 × 430, before zoom and viewport clipping. Africa occupies equal area. This ratio is not a local Mercator distortion factor. Mercator: ±85,05113°.
